Airgas was honored to be recognized with three prestigious awards at the 2024 Compressed Gas Association (CGA) Annual Meeting on April 9 in San Diego! We’re proud to be part of the combined American Air Liquide Holdings, Inc. team including Airgas and Air Liquide that received the prestigious Compressed Gas Association Leonard Parker Pool Safety Award in the category “Group I – More than 2 Million Employee Exposure Hours.” The Leonard Parker Pool Safety Awards are presented annually to participating CGA member companies recording the greatest improvement in safety performance during the previous two years, based upon the total recordable case incidence rates as defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In addition, we’re grateful to announce that the Airgas Fill Plant in La Porte, Texas received the Platinum Level Safe Facility Performance award, marking 2,000,000 hours or 40 years with no lost time work accidents, and the Airgas Merchant Gases Production Facility in Kent, Washington received the Palladium Level Safe Facility Performance Award, recognizing 2,500,000 hours or 50 years with no lost time work accidents. At the CGA annual meeting, Jay Worley, Airgas COO was also formally named as the new Chair of the Compressed Gas Association’s Board of Directors. Speaking on his new appointment, Jay shares, “I am excited to take on this new role and work with the Board to continue moving CGA forward.” Congratulations Jay!
